Our Online shop has officially launched!

We have finally launched our online shop after 7 months of planning and design! In the midst of brainstorming we have also designed a logo to represent not only for our Online Shop, but also for Obedience Training and Rehabilitation service, we want to let people know that we are serious in what we do.

The meaning of our Logo
The word "Petit Pooch" means Small Dog(s), this is to emphasize that we specialize in small-medium breeds. Petit Pooch logo was designed in such a way that it looked serious from the outside, but within are hidden meanings to show a fun side behind the serious looks, the "i" word was replaced with a small paw to represent small dog, the two "o" in Pooch is joined together to show packs or teamwork (we work in a pair), we want to convey a message to say that even though we are strict when it comes to training dogs, we do play hard when it's time to play, thus the 3 distinctive colors are also seen as points to categorize our services. The main color for the logo background is a reddish brown/maroon, which links back to Amber :)

Our Shop
Petit Pooch online shop wasn't easy to set up, we sourced very hard to get the finest dog products around the world, even those that were reviewed to be great were still pending for our personal reviews before being put up on sale, we wanted to list only Premium products. Overall, we spent a lot of resources trying out different products, this excludes the cost and time used to set up the branding and website, some products were borrowed, others were purchased, those that were not up to standard would be disposed. We will be adding more products as time goes but please give us some time to review, we promise that you will not be disappointed!

We are very proud to let you know that our website has one of the best selections you can find out there, please feel free to visit our site and place some orders if you like, we encourage self collection as we want to talk to you in person, to show you the products before you even decide to bring it back, if you do not like what you see, we will gladly refund your purchase :)

The Future of Petit Pooch
Many have asked about our future plans, honestly, we have a far route planned ahead and we can't wait to proceed as time goes, but we still want to keep things manageable as much as possible, this is to make sure that nobody gets left out, rest assure that our service will only improve and not the other way round. If you noticed, we have recently removed a couple of contents from our blog, businesses are starting to feel uneasy with what we do, some had even went to the extend of sending us lawyer threats for posting our honest experience with their service, this is something that we will never do to people, good and bad experiences should always be taken as constructive feedback, if one feels threatened and wishes for customers to remove their opinions, it simply means that they have something to hide and do not wish others to know about it, this was also one of the main reason why we wanted to start a service of our own in the first place!

With time and if there's a chance, we will hope to be able to expand and secure a space for our pet store, which will include grooming, boarding, rehabilitation and school for obedience. We truly hope by then you guys can still continue to support us, thank you for being a supporter of Amber Toy Poodle all these years!

First time to Pasir Ris Farmway (Pet Farm)

04 Feb, my husband's colleague decided to get another puppy so he drove us to Pasir Ris Farmway to look for puppy since we wanted one as well. He already has a 1 year Male Yorkshire Terrier so he was looking for another breed to accompany his Yorkshire. The farm was really hard to get to if you do not drive a car, unless you don't mind calling a cab. It's in the deepest part of the road and there ain't any buses around. When we first went to the first shop at farmway 02, we met a very stuck-up pet owner. Very "hao lian(proud)" with his puppies and even said all his prices are very CNY, all ended with $xx88 which means good luck for the Chinese people. We saw a pretty red toy poodle but it was sold, so the shop owner told us to buy his other puppies instead since all his puppies are so-called "high quality". I think that shop was kinda overpriced for every puppy that he quoted. One of the pups that he was selling, poodle was just besides it, seek

How to take care of your dog before and after Spay/Neuter

Many owners, especially first timers have no idea how to take care of their dogs after spay/neuter operation, owners that do not know what to expect could easily be traumatize by the experience along with their dog. This is why we have decided to come up with a tutorial on how to take proper care of your dog during the healing process. Before deciding on spaying/neutering your dog, it is good to first read up the pros and cons of doing it, don't spay/neuter your dog just because other people do it, check it up, study about it and take some time to decide. The STOMPer is appealing for witnesses of the hit-and-run accident who caught sight of the taxi's licence plate. Said David: "Sincerely seeking for car drivers that witnessed the accident which caused the death of my sister’s husky. "Hope to find drivers who can remember the hit-and-run cab driver's car plate number. "The accident occurred on Saturday (30 Jun 2012), around 3pm. My sister had brought him out for a walk. "My sister’s dog (Ah Boy) was knocked down by a yellow cab at Old Jurong Road, from Bukit Batok towards Upper Bukit Timah Road. "Apparently, something startled ah boy, and he walked onto the road. There were a few cars then, and ALL cars on the road managed to stop at a distance, without mu
