Treats...treats...and more treats!

It's our birthday month and as a Pet Lovers member we are entitled a 15% discount for this whole month. Amber is just so lucky to have such doting parents like us to spend quite a number of sums to buy a lot of treats for her (well...especially this month). LOL! This is just the first part, we are going to visit pet lovers for their birthday month offer again :)

Do note that this post is not reviews for the treats we bought. We will make a review post for these treats after Amber finishes them.

Here are some of the treats we bought on the first week of our birthday month:

1. Natural Balance Roll-A-Rounds Crunchy Lamb Formula Treats
These unique baked treats are made from their lamb formula dog food rolls. Contain no artificial flavors or colors. The size is a little too big for training treat/reward so we use it as a healthy treat for Amber to "eat for fun". ( Made in USA, Resealable. )

2. Nature's 1 Meaty Liver
Selected only prime ranch raised animals from the green pastures of New Zealand. Made from 100% Pure New Zealand Venison Liver, no other added ingredients. Another bigger size treats, we give this to Amber as "eat for fun" treat. ( Made in New Zealand, Resealable. )

3. ZiwiPeak 'Good-Dog' Treats (Brown - Beef Recipe, Blue - Lamb Recipe)
Premium Meat Jerky Treats, contains air-dried New Zealand meat, no artificial preservative, no colors, no salt or sugar, no fillers or grain. Can be used as a training treat/reward. Amber is currently eating the lamb recipe and she loves it, a very good training treat. ( Made in New Zealand, Resealable. )

4. Real Meat Bitz Healthy Gourmet Dog & Puppy Treats (Green - Beef, Purple - Lamb & Lamb Liver)
All natural jerky treats, made up of 95% real meat, no added hormones, antibiotics, fillers, coloring, preservatives, nothing artificial. Can be used as a training treat/reward too, break into smaller size easily. ( Made in USA, Resealable. )

5. Dingo Denta-Treats, mini dental bones
Teeth Whitening/cleaning chews, great tasting and fully digestible. Freshen breath, removes Tartar and Plaque. Promotes healthy teeth and gums. It won't splinter, crack, crumble or stain. Amber can't resist this great taste Dingo chew, she will do whatever we say when we take out this bag. It smells good to Amber but not us (human) haha! ( Made in Thailand, Resealable. )

6. N-Bone Twistix
Another dental chews, for good oral hygiene, removes Plaque, Tartar & Freshen Breath. This one smells better than Dingo chews however Amber will prefer Dingo than this, she likes twistix too but if let her choose between this and Dingo, she will run to Dingo first :) ( Made in USA. Resealable. )

P.S: We prefer to buy our treats Made in USA, UK or New Zealand. and we will never get treats/food made in China. It's up to one's preference and we prefer not to get food/treats that are made in china. Recently there are some Made in China dog treat recalls, especially their chicken jerky meat, caused quite a number of dogs sick. Here are some articles:

First time to Pasir Ris Farmway (Pet Farm)

04 Feb, my husband's colleague decided to get another puppy so he drove us to Pasir Ris Farmway to look for puppy since we wanted one as well. He already has a 1 year Male Yorkshire Terrier so he was looking for another breed to accompany his Yorkshire. The farm was really hard to get to if you do not drive a car, unless you don't mind calling a cab. It's in the deepest part of the road and there ain't any buses around. When we first went to the first shop at farmway 02, we met a very stuck-up pet owner. Very "hao lian(proud)" with his puppies and even said all his prices are very CNY, all ended with $xx88 which means good luck for the Chinese people. We saw a pretty red toy poodle but it was sold, so the shop owner told us to buy his other puppies instead since all his puppies are so-called "high quality". I think that shop was kinda overpriced for every puppy that he quoted. One of the pups that he was selling, poodle was just besides it, seek

How to take care of your dog before and after Spay/Neuter

Many owners, especially first timers have no idea how to take care of their dogs after spay/neuter operation, owners that do not know what to expect could easily be traumatize by the experience along with their dog. This is why we have decided to come up with a tutorial on how to take proper care of your dog during the healing process. Before deciding on spaying/neutering your dog, it is good to first read up the pros and cons of doing it, don't spay/neuter your dog just because other people do it, check it up, study about it and take some time to decide. Came across this sad incident shared by people at facebook. *Appeal for witnesses* Pet husky killed by cab in hit-and-run at Old Jurong Rd STOMPer David's husky was knocked down and killed by a taxi at Old Jurong Road on Saturday (Jun 30). The STOMPer is appealing for witnesses of the hit-and-run accident who caught sight of the taxi's licence plate. Said David: "Sincerely seeking for car drivers that witnessed the accident which caused the death of my sister’s husky. "Hope to find drivers who can remember the hit-and-run cab driver's car plate number. "The accident occurred on Saturday (30 Jun 2012), around 3pm. My sister had brought him out for a walk. "My sister’s dog (Ah Boy) was knocked down by a yellow cab at Old Jurong Road, from Bukit Batok towards Upper Bukit Timah Road. "Apparently, something startled ah boy, and he walked onto the road. There were a few cars then, and ALL cars on the road managed to stop at a distance, without mu
