Testimonial - Sharon (text version)

Thank you Nicole and Jeryl!

It was about two months back when I realised Hana's housebreaking and behaviour was getting worse. I googled for dog trainers on the net and realised that they were NOT CHEAP - all ranged from at least $800-$1000. Then while browsing I came across Amber - A Red Toy Poodle Story. Their training fees were much more reasonable and they also had a toy poodle - Amber which was the same breed as Hana.

When I first met Nicole and Jeryl, the first thing that came to my mind was, "Wow, such a young couple." I admit to being a little unsure at first. But as young as they may seem, they are so detailed, very experienced, and not to mention, very friendly. Nicole continuously wrote notes in her small notebook during the training while Jeryl did the training and talking. They taught me about "positive energy" while training and explained to me why "negative energy" (anger and impatience) can affect Hana. I am so impressed with the amount of patience they had during the training. It was try again, again, and again until Hana got it right. From them, I learnt about being very patient during the training and also that any unwanted behaviour from a dog does not lie fully on the breed, but on the owners. Train the owner, not the dogs. And also, blame the owner, not the dog. Any unwanted behaviours emerging from the dog is because the owner allows them to have it. Also, whenever they came to train Hana, Nicole always refer to the small notebook and made sure no details were overlooked from the last training.

During their last last training session for Hana, they brought Amber over and allowed them to socialise with each other. When I saw Amber for the first time, (I believe all owners who have met Amber before will agree with my statement here) - Obedient and Disciplined. Gosh, I was amazed at how well behaved Amber was, and that definitely motivated me to continue training Hana until she is as well behaved as Amber. Nicole and Jeryl also encouraged me that if I consistently follow their training guides, Hana will definitely show a lot of improvement in future. They guided me a lot throughout the training sessions, both in theory and in practical.

Even though Hana has ended her training with Nicole and Jeryl, she will be meeting Amber again for boarding soon. Thank you again, Nicole and Jeryl for training and correcting myself and Hana with so much patience and making Hana a happier toy poodle! Looking forward to seeing Amber again very soon!

Thanks a bunch!

First time to Pasir Ris Farmway (Pet Farm)

04 Feb, my husband's colleague decided to get another puppy so he drove us to Pasir Ris Farmway to look for puppy since we wanted one as well. He already has a 1 year Male Yorkshire Terrier so he was looking for another breed to accompany his Yorkshire. The farm was really hard to get to if you do not drive a car, unless you don't mind calling a cab. It's in the deepest part of the road and there ain't any buses around. When we first went to the first shop at farmway 02, we met a very stuck-up pet owner. Very "hao lian(proud)" with his puppies and even said all his prices are very CNY, all ended with $xx88 which means good luck for the Chinese people. We saw a pretty red toy poodle but it was sold, so the shop owner told us to buy his other puppies instead since all his puppies are so-called "high quality". I think that shop was kinda overpriced for every puppy that he quoted. One of the pups that he was selling, poodle was just besides it, seek

How to take care of your dog before and after Spay/Neuter

Many owners, especially first timers have no idea how to take care of their dogs after spay/neuter operation, owners that do not know what to expect could easily be traumatize by the experience along with their dog. This is why we have decided to come up with a tutorial on how to take proper care of your dog during the healing process. Before deciding on spaying/neutering your dog, it is good to first read up the pros and cons of doing it, don't spay/neuter your dog just because other people do it, check it up, study about it and take some time to decide. "Hope to find drivers who can remember the hit-and-run cab driver's car plate number. "The accident occurred on Saturday (30 Jun 2012), around 3pm. My sister had brought him out for a walk. "My sister’s dog (Ah Boy) was knocked down by a yellow cab at Old Jurong Road, from Bukit Batok towards Upper Bukit Timah Road. "Apparently, something startled ah boy, and he walked onto the road.
