Behind the blog

We have been blogging since January 2012, time really passes quickly, Amber is already 1 year old now!

We have met many people through our blog, both online and offline, fortunately most are friendly, just some once in a while "troll" that comes along and attempt to bring down the blog. As much as we'd like to post updates about Amber and add more fun topics, readers should understand that the blog is not created for these purposes, if you are looking for fun stuff  you could always like our Facebook page which has a lot of pictures and videos throughout Amber's life.

This blog is a place that is real, behind every posts are real life events encountered by us. Some people may find it offensive, that it contradicts from their beliefs and would resort to thrashing out their discontentment on our blog / email box. Our blog is filled with articles that are very opinion oriented, posts like reviews, rants and daily updates are viewed by thousands of people, which always attract people from different backgrounds, sometimes even shop owners themselves. Some of them made friends with us, some got angry about the review scores and criticized us and the rest who read our blog regularly but haven't said hi yet.

Of course this is how the cyber world works, if you were to show things to the world you're bound to get praises and also bad remarks. Our main goal with the blog is always to let more people understand about dogs, not only Amber but also dogs we meet outside, how they behave, how Amber reacts and how we handle situations, our motto is always "truth" first.

We are and have always been experimenting topics that people would love to read about, coming up with new ideas and brainstorming page titles, which is why you will find that our pages are changing from time to time, even the look of the blog is changing, sometimes so subtle that users would not notice but we believe it is for the better user experience. We would remove pages that are less popular and add new things, even with unhappy feed backs from people or even shop owners who are angered with the reviews, we do actually take effort to get more feed backs from other people first and see if everyone has the same experience, at times we'd even go down to the shop personally again after a few months to see if anything has changed, unfortunately all of the shops we have revisited barely changed, some did but were for the worst. Same thing for shops with good reviews, if there were bad feed backs from readers we would take note and find out the next time we visit the shops again, to see it for ourselves.

Good news! We do have plans to start open online shop, before we go on I want to assure you that it will not affect the quality of this blog, you will expect some promotion here and there but there will not be spamming on how great the products are on posts/reviews, most probably a brand new site will be up for that purpose, this is how we'd want to do things, hope you will enjoy shopping when it comes out!

Hopefully this post can clear up some of the confusion some reader has about us, once again I'll like to take this chance to emphasize that our blog is aimed at dog owners who want their dogs to live happier, in a way it is based on our own opinions, we want to give people as much help as possible through our posts, it is not meant for promoting shops, or making money. Although there are times where manufacturer approached us to review their products, we would send a request to them that we do not "lie" in our reviews and would only accept the offer IF our requests are are met. As a reader, everyone has the rights to post your own opinions, the only thing we'd hope is that people would take the initiative to read at their own writing before posting, please refrain from vulgarities, non constructive feed backs and promoting personal businesses.

First time to Pasir Ris Farmway (Pet Farm)

04 Feb, my husband's colleague decided to get another puppy so he drove us to Pasir Ris Farmway to look for puppy since we wanted one as well. He already has a 1 year Male Yorkshire Terrier so he was looking for another breed to accompany his Yorkshire. The farm was really hard to get to if you do not drive a car, unless you don't mind calling a cab. It's in the deepest part of the road and there ain't any buses around. When we first went to the first shop at farmway 02, we met a very stuck-up pet owner. Very "hao lian(proud)" with his puppies and even said all his prices are very CNY, all ended with $xx88 which means good luck for the Chinese people. We saw a pretty red toy poodle but it was sold, so the shop owner told us to buy his other puppies instead since all his puppies are so-called "high quality". I think that shop was kinda overpriced for every puppy that he quoted. One of the pups that he was selling, poodle was just besides it, seek

How to take care of your dog before and after Spay/Neuter

Many owners, especially first timers have no idea how to take care of their dogs after spay/neuter operation, owners that do not know what to expect could easily be traumatize by the experience along with their dog. This is why we have decided to come up with a tutorial on how to take proper care of your dog during the healing process. Before deciding on spaying/neutering your dog, it is good to first read up the pros and cons of doing it, don't spay/neuter your dog just because other people do it, check it up, study about it and take some time to decide. The STOMPer is appealing for witnesses of the hit-and-run accident who caught sight of the taxi's licence plate. Said David: "Sincerely seeking for car drivers that witnessed the accident which caused the death of my sister’s husky. "Hope to find drivers who can remember the hit-and-run cab driver's car plate number. "The accident occurred on Saturday (30 Jun 2012), around 3pm. My sister had brought him out for a walk. "My sister’s dog (Ah Boy) was knocked down by a yellow cab at Old Jurong Road, from Bukit Batok towards Upper Bukit Timah Road. "Apparently, something startled ah boy, and he walked onto the road. There were a few cars then, and ALL cars on the road managed to stop at a distance, without mu
