Update: 16 March 2013, Video at the far end of the post.
We brought Amber to the reservoir on Saturday for her grooming again, her hair were getting longer, we could see the round teddy bear like shape on her snout now and thought she would look great with some trimming! We also decided it would be a good idea to go for grooming since we would be away from 31 March to 18 April, and on the 30th we will bring her for another grooming before we leave.
Everything went as per usual, only that we had to encounter inconsistent timings from Masmas again, we booked for 11 am and went in on time, the groomer told us Amber was ready for her grooming so we went ahead and left Amber with them. After 1 hour, we returned and see if Amber was done with bathing, we'd expect the groomer to have started cutting Amber's hair but no, Amber was still inside the crate, we had no idea if she was even bathed, we went and walk around the area and had early lunch while waiting, this time we didn't have to worry too much about keeping watch because we had found a trustworthy groomer.
While walking around, we saw a squirrel on the tree near the reservoir! It was climbing down to grab the offerings placed under the tree by worshippers, we managed to snap a few pictures of before it spotted us and ran back towards the tree, surprisingly when we thought we had lost the squirrel another one popped out from the same tree! We watched for awhile and noticed there were actually a lot of squirrels in the area, they were all adorable and fun to watch.
We walked around for an hour before having lunch, while eating halfway we received a call from Masmas telling us that Amber was done grooming, we went over and collected her right after eating. Amber looked really sweet, we asked for puppy cut as it would be easier to groom when Amber is with our parents during our trip, Amber really like both of them and our parents love her too! We are just afraid that they might treat her too nicely and would result in Amber becoming naughtier, but after considering we thought Amber would be in better hands with our parents than sent out for boarding, I will make another post about our decision on this matter.
We then brought Amber to the reservoir for some fun, she was really happy but it was kinda hot at that time so we only let her run for about 10 minutes, we saw a fish while strolling along the platform on the reservoir, it was Amber who first saw the fish, she was off leash and went towards it right away, the fish was actually on the platform itself, dead and dried, it smelt like salted fish. The only reason we could think of was that the fish attempted suicide by jumping out of the water and right onto the platform, we then brought Amber to the other side, away from the fish. Amber was running quite happily until when we saw her hiding under the chair, it seemed like it was too hot for her to walk barefooted already, we carried her, took some pictures and left.
While leaving we saw this insect which I do not know what it's called, it just looked cool so I snapped a picture of it. It was good to know that there are still natural environments in Singapore, however we do not have much hopes for the future as the government is planning to build more flats and condominium on empty lands, true enough there was a poster of a condominium project right before we exited the park.
