JoyDoggy

Updated: 12/03/2013
We decided to give this shop a 0.5 score boost as they have taken the initiative to upgrade their online shop as well as facebook page, we wanted to give more but found out they were actually more keen to promote selling their puppies than to boost customer service, also the website was pretty buggy. We will visit the shop again when we are free, hopefully we'll experience something different and live to tell our experience.

We were looking for a long term shop to buy our pet supplies, so we searched online and found Joy Doggy. I tried calling them the next day and a helpful guy attended to me, asked him some questions about their supply like yogi pee tray and madan brushes, he even assisted in telling me what to buy to make full use of the items for Amber.

We then decided to go down personally, the outside of the shop looked okay, tidy and nothing good nor bad. When we got inside, i saw a guy and a lady standing by the counter, most probably they were the same person that won the award here
http://www.entrepreneur2011.sg/editorial/Joy%20Doggy.php

The guy who's body was full of tattoos, seemed busy trying to sell a dog to some old couple. I do not want to judge based on just what i heard but he seemed quite persistent on selling the dog away. Anyway let's move on to the dog area, on the website of entrepreneur 2011 they were interviewed and this is the phrase i want to highlight - "Everyday, a diligent team of ten washes the cages thrice and feed the dogs in the pet-shop. They even have an exhaust system to expel unclean air from inside the shop. “The AVA is impressed with our routine and have asked the bosses of other shops to come here to observe,” when we went into the dog-for-sale area, they were all caged and stacked in square metal cages, like the one at Pet Lover Centre's grooming area, and were closed with a glass door. There were quite a number of different breeds, which most stated "pedigree certificate" and "price negotiable (or something similar)", the "pedigree" dogs themselves didn't look right, they looked kinda dirty and wasn't groomed properly. It was still NORMAL in my opinion because of my experience with most pet shops/farms in Singapore whereby most businessmen just want to make the most profit out of pet businesses. It was still fine until i noticed one of the staff was about to feed the dogs, they weren't feeding wet food nor dry food but things all minced up together, i could see bits of fish, the rest i couldn't make up but smelt like some meat related food all mashed up, like feeding pig stocks, it could be dry food mixed with wet food but it kinda look and smell terrible. The staff then slide open the glass door, the smell was totally unbearable! I have been to pasir ris pet farm and even the worst shop i had been to didn't smell this bad! Its almost to the extend that i wanted to leave the area right away. We stared at the dogs for a few seconds and left the area.

We then took a look at their dry food section, the brand we wanted was Taste of the Wild, they sold it pretty cheaply compared to other shops, they also had Plush Puppy shampoo and Madan brushes which was quite hard to find in Singapore, we have to sign up for membership to enjoy the discounts. The month was February 2012 when i visited the shop, but when i  looked at the expiry of the dry food and saw it was expiring on MARCH 2012 which is 1 month later,  i proceeded to the counter to ask the boss which he didn't bother to speak to me but asked the lady to serve us instead. She then showed a "shocked" face when we ask for a fresher pack of food and told her the one we saw was expiring in a week. She asked her staff and the staff quickly put it away and insisted it was expiring on MAY 2012 instead of what we saw which was MARCH. Two customers saw MARCH and the staff could still lie. The lady boss then promised us she would give us the freshest food possible which expires on JULY 2012. We paid for the items and that was about it.

2 months almost passed and Amber is finishing her first packet of Taste of the Wild kibbles, i decided to call up Joy Doggy yesterday to confirm the expiry once again. Lady picked up, i mentioned Taste of the Wild and she asked her staff to attend to me. The staff did not know any manners, did not say thank you, hi, sorry, just replied one liners to everything i asked. I wanted a 15lbs food and she said she only had 5 lbs and 30lbs. I then asked for the expiry for 5lbs, she answered MAY 2012. I then asked:

"huh, there are no 5lbs that expire later than MAY2012?".

Staff answered "no"

"so 1 month have to finish?!"

Staff's one liner "ya"

"u sure u don't have a longer expiry food?"

Staff answer "no"

"ok nevermind"

Staff hung up the phone without saying anything else.

End of story, conclusion is never to believe in whatever award or anything that is advertised on the newpaper or any online news, usually they are just for sake of attracting customers and i'm sure they made it look nice when they knew AVA was coming down to check on them. Thanks Joy Doggy for making me aware of shops with nice cover. This review of the shop is based solely on MY OWN EXPERIENCE. No friend's rumour or online reading or any other myths and legend of the shop is stated in here, everything is what i saw and experienced.

Review rating 2.5/10

    2. Hi, I stumble upon this site. My name is George and my surname is Tan (given by my ancestors). "Beng" does not happen to be part of my traditional dialect name. I am brought up in a Chinese traditional family and I speak quite fluent Hokkien because I need to communicate with my great and grand parents. Luckily for me, I can communicate with elderly customers of mine who are abandoned by their children and they have no one to talk to except their pets. So when they need help, they come to me. I like communicating with elderly people because they teach me a lot of good values and how to live my life fruitfully. I speak fairly good English(sadly it became my mother tongue) and I am quite good in Chinese and Cantonese. I understand a little bit of Japanese because i travel to Japan a lot. By conversing in English in modern day Singapore is deem to be "Beng" but I still will pass this language to my daughter because I want her to remember her origins. I seriously cannot remember the incident of asking you to not let your dog pee in my shop. As a matter of fact, I like to tell customers to bring dogs into my shop because IT'S A PET SHOP .... LOL. If I really did, I must be out of my mind. I am so sorry for that. Customers who know me knew that I do not mind their dogs peeing or pooing in my shop and I always tell my staffs to clean up after the mess. No big deal, hahaha. As for my tattoos.......long story, The one on my left upper arm is Chief Joseph (red Indian) who talk peace with the white American so as to prevent more blood shed. It symbolizes PEACE. The one on my right upper arm is a red Indian SUN. It symbolizes the rising of a brand new day....happy day. The one on my right leg is a fantasy dragon (Muscular one) and was done by the champion tattoo artist who won the title in one of the world tattoo convention. It is a chance not to be missed. I have only 3 tattoos top go along with my very lean and fit body so that I can show off a bit at the beach if I take off my shirt hahahaha. Not to lose out to guys half my age. By the way...... I am already 40. Time past really fast. I owned Joy Doggy for 16 years. It's not an easy task to run a pet shop and to last this long. I thank those who supported me and of course you too for even poping into my shop. Please......come again "Anonymous" with your pet,,,,,,,,,no problem at all even it pee or shit. Hope to see you soon. Cheers!!!!

  2. that is so sad, if animals are a burden then i don't think people should do business in that category.. thanks for the comment it made us even more confident about our review of this shop!

    1. Hi Amber .......you are so pretty !!!! Hey, I do not find animal a burden.......no way. Seriously.........I do not even like to kill insects except for mozzies, houseflies that are caught by the fly catcher. I always tell my staff to let them go if caught alive. But of course bring them out of the shop. Dogs are my favourite. Even strays. I love to touch strays at hawker centres even others see me as "dirty". My method of teaching customers to train their dogs is strictly no shouting, spanking but to ignore them. Ignoring the pet is the best training if they do wrong because pets feel worst being ignored by owners. Cheers and stay happy Amber !!!

Sorry if there are any misunderstanding, the words used were to be meant for people that think animals are a burden, no worries and have a good day!

  3. George is an excellent saleman, very good talker. Peggy just follows his lead. They say anything to get the money first. You should add, never support a petshop that sells livestock. The smell is unavoidable due to the bad ventilation and too many animals squash into a tiny room. The food is actually water mixed with dry food and a can of wet food. Again, don't support pet shops that sell animals and never believe what a salesman tell you.

    1. Hi, I think that there's something wrong with my Imac. My replies keep disappearing. Anyway, I am not a good salesman. I would rather you say I am a good pet shop owner because I really know my job well. What we do in the shop is approved by AVA as humane. I spent a bit on the exhaust system in the shop by applying science. I was a fairly good science student in my schooling days. We tried all kind of air purifier eg. ozonizer, ionizer but customers claimed they prefer to smell dog poo than the combination of the air purifier mix with poo smell. We are constantly trying to improve the air condition of the shop not only for the pets but also for the sake of the staff working here. I think the Singapore Zoo is also facing the same problem. I always jump at the chance when a "Air Purifier" sales person step into my shop to promote new tech air cleaning machines, etc. The reason why the food smells is because we add Nutripe into the ANF puppy dry food. As dogs a carnivores, they only eat meat and bones. The only way they can absorb the nutrient from plants is to eat the stomach of herbivore (which contain half digested vegetable) that they ate - tripe. Only problem is it STINKS !!!! I always warn customers about this LOLOLOL. My shop is a fully sponsored dogfood and vitamin supplement shop..........only a few in Sg are sponsored. I also feed them with Kala Health's Vitamix and Dermatrix..I hope they can be healthy under my care even if they are not 'SOLD' or 'HOMED' soon enough. I pity them in the cage as well. Sometimes, if the puppies are in my shop for a while and eventually get to be homed, I get a bit emotional. My mum, Auntie Ann knows. She will come over to my counter to comfort me......shy.....LOL. Not to worry. Even if one day, the distributors decide to stop sponsor my shop, I will still buy them good food. Promise !!!! Chao !

(do u have any links that i can take a look about them?) it is true that people should not support shop that sells livestock but this is business, we try to understand that people need to survive and we do not want to discourage readers too much in that area, this blog is all about the truth from my own eyes, what we hope at least is for pet shops to at least treat the animals well and let them live in a good condition, these pets here are really suffering and most have anxiety problems. appreciate your detailed explanation about the background of this shop and we will try to find out more!

    1. Sorry for trolling.........heehee. I can answer your question fairly quickly in words......but to write them .......gonna be long story. A lot of things are inter link. But I am very confident of myself to be able to give you very logical answer to your query above. I was from a poor family. But being quite enterprising from young, i've always wanted to do my own business. I stumble upon Joy Doggy 16 years ago for SALE, I took the chance and bought over the shop plus GOODWILL at a fairly good price. It was the old location and small and not much things left in the shop when I took over. The peers in the pet industry then, taught me a lot of "evil tricks" to earn money. I disagreed. I took my wife, Peggy as a partner into the business and ran it with our conscience. I did exactly opposite of what we were taught which was evil. I cried when the first puppy died in the shop from parvo-virus. It was left over by the previous owner. I remember it was a tiny silky terrier. I vowed to take good care of all my puppies from then.....I suppose it worked. However......I could not prevent death. I wish I could. The story goes on.............

    2. Hi Keith, being a pet shop that has been around for a while, we do enjoy the privilege of having distributor's sales personnel to come to our shop to check on their own product on our shelves like NUTC or Sheng Siong. We are shocked on many occasions that some of the food are expired or near expiry because the sales personnel were supposedly change them for the new ones. I realized that some of them wanted to pull a quick one on us hoping that my customers will buy the food without knowing. My shop's motto is to PROTECT my customers NOT the distributors. I will demand a immediately change from the distributor if any thing is spotted wrong with the products that my customers buy. Some how, we do get customers who abuse this "weak" point on our side to demand for unreasonable stuff. I will act blur and to exchange, to save any embarassment. To me customers comes first !!! See you soon !!!

  6. The reason why Joy Doggy is able to sell things cheaper than some other shops might be that their products are soon to expire. So I guess as consumers, it is also our duty to check the expiry date with care.

I hope to create customers' loyalty by selling them the food cheaper so that the financial burden of up keeping the puppies is not so heavy. So that they can use the money to buy the pets better food and supplement to eat. The reason is really just so SIMPLE. No hidden agenda. Hope to see you soon too!!!!

  7. I agree with the Anonymous above. Regarding the food, I bought my dog there years back and were advised the same way. No matter how dirty these puppies look since they are kept in cages and would be in contact with their faeces; etc, they're still pedigree dogs. Pedigree only shows that an animal is bred through parents/generations that have won competitions based on obedience, skin and fur quality. Like what Anonymous said about the confined space, we must also think logically that the area to keep the dogs is indoors and air ventilation is of course not as good as outdoor, and thus the odour. Plus, puppies would usually have bad diarrhoea (including my dog when I first brought him home) and will contribute to the strong odour.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Momo, the dog food and smell scenario is just based on our personal feeling when we visited the pet shop, after all for ventilation wise we have never experienced such bad odour throughout the pet shops we visited, we do understand that it is for hiding the smell so that customers can browse the shop better, but it is no excuse to stack puppies on top of each other and placed in such a small compound. Just because they have pedigree certificate does not mean they are pure blood, from what i see i could pick out a few dogs that are actually cross bred and labeled "pedigree", if you do not know, there are many orthodox ways to purchase the name "Pedigree" as well as the certificates, this doesn't imply that joy doggy does that, but it is just an example, and pedigree certificate does not mean that it is from dogs that won competitions either, it is just simply a piece of paper that say it is "pure breed".

The dogs that i had previously does not produce the diarrhoea that you have suggested, and yes they were puppies when we got them and they gave birth to more puppies which didn't have such problems.

Even though our views are different, it is still good to see different opinions! We have enjoyed reading your opinions, do not take anything to heart, enjoy reading!

      Regards,
      AmberToyPoodle

    2. Hi Amber !!!!! In fact MOMO is correct. Pedigree means the blood is pure. But a lot of people are misled to believe that Pedigree dog are some saint or something. People come into our shop to ask for "PAPERS" without knowing what these papers are. I always tell them that the health of the puppies are more important than the "paper". The cages in my shop are custom made. I do not want to do the fish tank style because the ventilation inside the "fish tank" is bad. My cages actually has better air flow. This is also based on science. The puppies here can smell and see and hear each other. Thus they are not out of touch with the world around them. These senses are important to them. We shower them once a week. So if you happened to visit on the 6th day.........hahaha you might be in for a shock.......but, we still clean them up daily but with out using shampoo. We were taught by our peers to shower the puppies irregardless so that they look good to customers who will be attracted to buy them. By doing this, it jeopardizes the health of the puppies especially the younger ones. They can catch flu and cough easily. I actually hate to see them do that........because to me, it's cheating. My shower routine for my puppies is very STRICT. one shower in 7days, nothing more. But again, our shampoo is sponsored. So we do not stinge on shampoo. Puppies kept in cages are exposed to their pee and poo.........it's sad. but there's nothing further to this that we can do except to "dry clean' them daily. Even for the beginning days in the new owners' home for proper house breaking training, they are supposed to be fenced up. This exposing to pee and poo part is really unavoidable. Hope they get homed soon and toilet trained soon so that they can be out of the cages ASAP. I pray for all of them with good health and go to good happy owners !!!

  8. Hi Amber..........it's me again George Tan from Joy Doggy. Please do not delete my post. This reply is from my heart. As of the first day I started Joy Doggy.......I've wanted to make it a wonderful pet shop. I started off poor. As I profit from the business, I give back more to it. I shifted to a bigger and more suitable location which is my current location and has been here since then. I did not choose to win any award but they were award to me. As you know Amber, you addressed me as a helpful guy in the beginning part of your story......is because I'm like that. I try to help as much as possible. But as human, there's bound to be good and bad days. if I really made any one uncomfortable, I did not mean to. Well, as for my staff, let alone my wife, i cannot make everyone think like me or do what i think. I try my best to educate them to treat customers the best they can but I cannot be there 24/7 to watch over them. It's like quitting smoking or drinking.......you do it on your own and don't expect your friends or relative to follow just because you can quit successfully. I forced my staff to clean the cages very regularly but I can't over do it or else, they will just quit. It's difficult to get staff nowadays. Kids never like to work let alone working in a pet shop when everyone think it stinks. I do not have a diligent team of 10 lah. Only one kennel hand and sometimes my groomers will help out of they are free. I do not like to use the word "SELL DOG" but people always say I "SELL DOG" LOL.
I "homed" them for a token in monetary form. So that i can use the money to improve the living condition of the puppies. Anyway...if you have more query.........please contact me and I'll be more than delighted to answer your questions. Cheers and live happy !!!!!!

  9. If someone really wants to buy a puppy rather than to adopt from a shelter, I think this documentary is helpful in letting them know what they may possibly be getting into, especially if they are not directly buying from the source, and have no true way of understanding the environment where the puppy is bred in.

    Pedigree dogs exposed
    - Part 1 - https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=2706500427376
    - Part 2a - https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=2706956798785
    - Part 2b - https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=2706977359299

Bottomline is please know the breeder, and have a clear understanding of the puppies parentage and potential health/temperament problems because some breeders only breed for looks. And some pet shops may not have all the information necessary for one to make an informed choice.

  10. I come across this post and I thought I might as well share my experience I have with Joy Doggy 14 years ago.

I bought my toy poodle from the shop on 16 October 1999, it was a really tiny puppy then and I don't have any experience being a dog owner, I thought puppies are supposed to be this tiny. Peggy told me that the puppy is on ANF food, so I was persuaded to buy it. But it did not eat on the 1st, 2nd nor 3rd day after it went home with me. Being a first time dog owner, I still did not detect that it was actually very sick till the puppy literally fainted on the 4th day. I rushed down to Mount Pleasant and the vet told me it had already contracted some virus for a while, and chances of surviving is 50%. After spending $ 780 on the puppy, I had to spent another $1000 on the hospitalisation bills and treatment (I was still a poor student then). Money is one thing, whats sad is the trauma I had to go through of keeping a very ill puppy. After he was hospitalised for 5 days, the vet told me there is no improvement and I took it home, changed another vet, gave it new treatment and finally after all the diarrhea mess I had to clean up for almost a month, it finally recovered and survived. But when it turned one year old, that's when I realised the testicles are retained in the body due to genetic defects I guess. Vet told me the chances of having cancer is high, but well again, with God's blessings, I had the poodle for a good 14 years until it passed away recently in may 2013.

Sorry for my long story but what I wanted to say was Joy Doggy should put in more effort to make sure their puppies are kept in good condition, so that they do not contract any disease or virus before you sell them. when I got my puppy then, it doesn't even have milk teeth grown yet, so it must be really young. Is it even appropriate to sell puppies at such a young age? Could that be a reason why my dog's testicles are retained in body? My dog could have died then due to such poor genetic makeup and sickness, then who is going to compensate for my lossess?

I didn't go back to the shop and make a fuss then, but something that was weighing on my mind these 14 years, I don't know if George or Peggy can still recall, whatever happened to the other female sibling toy poodle which was kept in same cage as my dog? I hope she did not contract any virus and is in the good hands of a good owner.

Ok just some real long history and experience with Joy Doggy.

    1. Hi Prince Owner,

Thank you for sharing your experience, it was great of you to take care of your puppy and stay with him till the end.

Even after 14 years most pet shops are still like this, they don't practice good hygiene, gives bad after services and even deny when things happen.

We hope more people can share their experiences and let others know and decide for themselves whether or not to buy from these pet stores.

Yes probably you got your dog when he was about 2 months old, which is very unhealthy because the puppy obviously need nutrient and care from its mother. Most likely it is genetics issue that caused your dog to have undescended testicles. Joy Doggy doesn't breed their own dogs, instead they import it from breeders, probably known as puppy mills to you.

Do give us a message if you happen to get a dog, we would be more than glad to give you tips :)

    2. These puppies from Joy Doggy and a majority of pet stores were sourced from cruel, dirty puppy farms. Their parents spend their life locked in cages covered in disease, urine, faeces with no food, water, sunlight, room to move or exercise and vet care. Puppies are then born in these disgusting conditions and kept in the same unsanitary cages until they are ripped away from their mothers to be sold and in the case of Joy Doggy, exported overseas for profit. Sometimes the dogs in the same family are inbred which explains why many puppies sold in pet stores like these suffer from health problems and genetic defects. Puppies are not suppose to be sold or leave their mothers before 8 weeks. Sounds like your puppy was a lot younger than that so it's no surprise that it had many health problems. Joy Doggy and other horrible businesses like these are out for $$$ and they don't care about the animal's welfare. If the puppies are not of sellable quality or their parents are unable to breed anymore, they are killed inhumanely more often than not and dumped like rubbish. To buy puppies from pet stores is to support animal cruelty. Please consider adopting a rescue dog and not buy from a shop!

Anonymous - I'm sorry that your dog had a horrible start to life but you were definitely one of the lucky ones to have 14 years with him. I hope next time you would consider adopting a dog from a rescue organisation and not support this evil puppy trade by buying from pet shops. 12. Hi Jeryl,

Yes, I got another puppy poodle about 3 mths ago. He is now 6 mths old and very active. It will be great if you can give me some tips as its been a really long time ago when I had my first puppy then. Kind of forgot how to manage and trained it now, especially poodles being extremely anticipative and rebellious at times :) Some of the issues I have faced with this puppy:
    1. refuse to walk properly on leash , tends to bite on the leash and refuse to be tug, so I have not been able to bring him out for walks at all.
    2. His toilet trained habits. For 3 mths I have him, he is still unable to completely pee and poo properly in the toilet as we wanted him to be on the pee pads we placed inside. He can only do it most of the time if we guide him there, else if we let him out of his crate , he tends to forget and will relieve himself in the living room.

Ok so far these are major issues I faced. Will really love to hear from you. Thanks a lot

    1. Hi Prince Junior Owner,

      1. Puppies tend to pull and bite the leash, you need to have patience and continue the walks, skipping walks will only make the dog hate the leash even more! Bring some treats and lure your puppy, reward only when it walk without biting the leash. It takes about 2 weeks of consistency to see improvements.

      2. This is a common issue with wrong set ups, there might also be some issue with your dog not understanding your intention. You will need to leave used pee pads instead of changing them, and also using a housebreaking solution to clean off leftover stains.

You might want to email us your progress and more details as time goes :)

    2. Hi Jeryl,

Thanks for the tips and suggestions. The walks are not conducted frequently, in fact I only tried walking my dog 3 times and the last session I did see some improvement but its still far from normal. Guess I really got to make more effort.

The above 2 issues are just a few problems I am experiencing with my puppy now.
He also shows urination excitement and tends to jump up and down a lot ( I am so worried for his joints), barks a lot more often now especially when my doorbell rings and guests are here.
He is really a lovely dog but I really hope to keep a very disciplined poodle and start to train him well when he is still young.

I realise that you do provide private training lessons, something which me and my hubby will like to seriously consider for our puppy.
Should I write you a separate email to enquire on this?

    3. Hi Prince Junior Owner,

The problems you mentioned are relatively common puppy issues, and yes more effort is actually needed to eliminate unwanted behaviors. Things like jumping, over-excitement and guarding problem (barking) is very common in poodles, it is built into their genetics. Even so, if you manage eliminate those problems, you will be creating a loving household pet that is free of stress and would be happy to be your best friend for the rest of it's life.

We would greatly appreciate if you guys could take some time to consider the below mentioned criteria before deciding on taking up our basic obedience classes, we would expect every dog we teach to show improvements after the 3 sessions.

      1. Know what pack leadership training means
      2. Are committed to the training schedule given, which is weekly/bi-weekly basis depending on the dog's ability to absorb information.
      3. Are committed to give your dog at least a 30 minute time per day, this is very important.

Please also consider sending us an email to fix a schedule and perhaps more questions if you have any, thank you!

      Regards,

  14. HI Shane,

Thank you for clarifying everything here, though we do not have proof to support your theories about this shop, it does help in giving people the option to think twice before buying puppies from any pet shops/farms.

First time to Pasir Ris Farmway (Pet Farm)

04 Feb, my husband's colleague decided to get another puppy so he drove us to Pasir Ris Farmway to look for puppy since we wanted one as well. He already has a 1 year Male Yorkshire Terrier so he was looking for another breed to accompany his Yorkshire. The farm was really hard to get to if you do not drive a car, unless you don't mind calling a cab. It's in the deepest part of the road and there ain't any buses around. When we first went to the first shop at farmway 02, we met a very stuck-up pet owner. Very "hao lian(proud)" with his puppies and even said all his prices are very CNY, all ended with $xx88 which means good luck for the Chinese people. We saw a pretty red toy poodle but it was sold, so the shop owner told us to buy his other puppies instead since all his puppies are so-called "high quality". I think that shop was kinda overpriced for every puppy that he quoted. One of the pups that he was selling, poodle was just besides it, seek

How to take care of your dog before and after Spay/Neuter

Many owners, especially first timers have no idea how to take care of their dogs after spay/neuter operation, owners that do not know what to expect could easily be traumatize by the experience along with their dog. This is why we have decided to come up with a tutorial on how to take proper care of your dog during the healing process. Before deciding on spaying/neutering your dog, it is good to first read up the pros and cons of doing it, don't spay/neuter your dog just because other people do it, check it up, study about it and take some time to decide. The STOMPer is appealing for witnesses of the hit-and-run accident who caught sight of the taxi's licence plate. Said David: "Sincerely seeking for car drivers that witnessed the accident which caused the death of my sister’s husky. "Hope to find drivers who can remember the hit-and-run cab driver's car plate number. "The accident occurred on Saturday (30 Jun 2012), around 3pm. My sister had brought him out for a walk. "My sister’s dog (Ah Boy) was knocked down by a yellow cab at Old Jurong Road, from Bukit Batok towards Upper Bukit Timah Road. "Apparently, something startled ah boy, and he walked onto the road. There were a few cars then, and ALL cars on the road managed to stop at a distance, without mu
